Alivia Eloise Dance Academy

  •  We are committed to facilitating participation and empowerment of all children.
  •  We strive to develop students engagement in performing arts classes and foster confident self-expression.
  •  We recognise the importance of friendships and peer support, and encourage respectful relationships among staff and students.
  •  We facilitate inclusion and do not tolerate any form of discrimination.
  •  We respect the diverse and unique identities of all children and strive to support all students needs.
  •  We are committed to the cultural safety of Aboriginal children, the cultural safety of children from culturally and/or linguistically diverse backgrounds, and to providing a safe environment for children with a disability.
  •  Our organisation is committed to preventing child abuse; identifying risks in both physical and online environments, and working to remove or minimise these risks.
  •  We welcome communication and interaction with families regarding students wellbeing.
  •  We have zero tolerance of child abuse, and all allegations and safety concerns will be treated very seriously and consistently, including reporting concerns to Victoria Police or Child Protection as required under mandatory reporting laws.
  •  Our organisation has a robust selection and recruitment process for all staff and volunteers.
  •  We train staff to identify and minimise potential child safety risks, and to support culturally safe environments.
  •  We recognise that technology, social media and digital communication are part of our learning and community environment.
  •  The academy promotes safe and responsible use of digital platforms, including online classes, social media, photography, and video recording.
  •  Written parental/guardian consent is required for the capture or publication of children’s images or recordings.
  •  Photos or videos of children will be stored securely, used only for the purposes consented to, and never shared publicly without permission.
  •  Staff and volunteers must not contact students via personal social media or private messaging apps.
  •  Our social media and promotional content are managed by authorised staff and comply with privacy and consent requirements.
  •  We educate students, staff and families about digital citizenship, online respect, privacy, and what to do if something makes them feel uncomfortable online.
  •  Any inappropriate online behaviour, image misuse or digital safety concern is treated as a child-safety matter and managed in line with our reporting procedures.

Staff work in accordance with the Alivia Eloise Dance Academy Code of Conduct and follow Child Safety policies and procedures to ensure they support these Child Safety commitments.
This commitment aligns with the Child Safe Standards under the Child Wellbeing and Safety Act 2005 (Vic) and other relevant Victorian child safety legislation. For more information, please refer to our Child Safety Policy and Procedures.
